A hidden gem with a twist

The location was peaceful, allowing for serene walks along the water. Breakfast offered a delightful spread, making mornings enjoyable. The staff were welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere.

However, the rooms felt more like dormitories than a hotel, lacking some basic amenities like a kettle. Also, the distance to town could be challenging for those with mobility issues.

they try to make it a hotel, but it's really just a glorified dorm. the room was basically filthy with hairs everywhere. i expected some sort of compensation for the trouble but was met with a blank stare instead.

I stayed for one night, primarily to explore nearby attractions like the Isafjordur Culture House. The breakfast was a highlight— there was a large continental spread with many choices, which set the tone for the day. The room I had, while not luxurious, was quite spacious and had a small balcony that provided a nice view of the neighborhood. On the downside, the overall cleanliness and some lingering odors in the room were less than ideal.

OMG, this place is, like, super chill! Breakfast was, like, totally amazing—it had everything from pastries to fruits! Plus, the vibe here is, like, so peaceful. We loved walking by the water and checking out the quiet neighborhood. Just wish the beds were a bit comfier, but it didn’t ruin our vibes at all!

The room cleanliness was subpar with hairs found in the bathroom and lingering odors that included cigarette smoke and urine from the mattresses. It felt more like a converted dormitory than a hotel, lacking basic amenities like a kettle and cups.

It was just a suitable option for a flash visit in Isafjordur with great value for the money. The breakfast had a decent selection of items that helped kickstart the day. Check transportation options ahead of time, as taxis can be tricky at night.

torfnes is in a great location, close to everything within walking distance. the breakfast was awesome, with a delicious spread to start your day. the atmosphere was welcoming, and the room was spacious enough for a solo traveler like me.
